Spanish Flamenco Dancer

How does imagination ignite passion?

CAROLYN DIFIORI HOPKINS July 27, 2022

ASK YOURSELF: What will bring me closer to who I want to be? Can imagining something make it real? How can I manifest my dreams?

Do you love dancing, writing, drawing? Are you dramatic? Have you always wanted to Tango or dance the Flamenco? Do you dream of having an art studio, or riding horses? Imagine yourself doing these things.

PROMPT: Write in your journal what you are happy with and not happy with in your life. How can you redirect your life to empower the happiness that you deserve?

As adults we have been forced into a world of responsibility and practicality. Work (often jobs that we hate), paying bills, raising a family are things that take over and dictate how we live, breathe, and experience the world. Dreaming of what can be allows us to tap into our imaginations again, reminding us of what it feels like to be passionate about something. Have you lost the connection to passion and purpose in life and replaced it with survival and responsibility? Who says you can't be passionate and responsible? What changes can empower us to live our dreams?

Prompts:

How do we find our creative power?

What is Authentic Creative Expression? In what way can we be creative?

Have a conversation about what you don’t know.

What have you always wanted to do? How can you steer your life toward the life you want for yourself? Whatever it is -Just do it!

Life is an ever-changing target…

What is critical mass? Critical mass is an ever-changing target and not a constant one time only goal. This means that a smaller idea that has aspirations to grow needs to reach this critical mass at its current size before it can grow bigger. Once this threshold is achieved, a new stage is reached with new targets and a new critical mass to achieve.

Draw yourself incorporating significant and defining words that speak to who you really are or want to be.
