Biography
DiFiori Hopkins is a working artist and teacher, who has exhibited and taught regularly throughout her career. Most recently she has taught at SUNY at Albany and The Atelier of Albany where she developed creative and technical curricula particularly in the area of creative art journaling and figure drawing. She conceived and co-founded the alternative artist-run gallery, The Hallway in Troy, NY. She completed much of her undergraduate studies at the Philadelphia College of Art from 1976-1980 and subsequently earned her BA from Rutgers University. Later, she received her MA and MFA from the State University of New York at Albany. She is the recipient of grants from the Capital District Arts Initiative, New York State Council on the Arts, University at Albany Foundation, NYSCA Decentralization Program and is a Woven Tale Press Fellow.
